On a night dedicated to honoring its seniors, the Boulder High Varsity Baseball team delivered a dramatic comeback, edging Northglenn 8–7 at Scott Carpenter Park on Tuesday evening.

The Panthers saw an early lead slip away but rallied behind a monster performance from Finn Torvik, who drove in five runs on four hits, including a go-ahead home run, to help Boulder pull out the win.

Fast Start for Boulder

Boulder got the scoring started in the first inning when Torvik roped a double to bring home the game's first run. The Panthers added to their lead in the third with another Torvik double that scored two, followed by a groundout RBI from Daniel Melvin, making it 4–0.

Northglenn Answers Big

The game flipped quickly in the top of the fourth. Northglenn put together a seven-run inning behind timely hits and a few Boulder miscues. The biggest blow came from Hunter Campbell, who cleared the bases with a three-run double. By the time the dust settled, Northglenn led 7–4.

Boulder Rallies Right Back

Boulder didn't panic. In the bottom of the fourth, Maks Matheson grounded out to bring home a run and cut the deficit to 7–5. Then Torvik stepped in and delivered again—this time crushing a two-run home run to right field to tie the game 7–7.

With the score knotted in the bottom of the sixth, Kai Paradise grounded out to bring in the go-ahead run, giving Boulder an 8–7 lead that would hold until the final out.

Strong Finish on the Mound

Paradise also took over on the mound and shut things down late, pitching 3.2 innings, allowing just one hit and one run, while striking out eight and walking two to earn the win.

Melvin started the game for the Panthers, going 3.1 innings, giving up four hits and six runs (none earned), with five strikeouts. Boulder's pitching held firm down the stretch to secure the victory.
