The Boulder High School baseball team kicked off their preseason with a spring training scrimmage against Golden High School this week. With the season just around the corner, both teams took advantage of the sunny afternoon to get some live reps, shake off the winter rust, and start building chemistry on the field.
For the Panthers, it was a chance to rotate players into different spots, test out the pitching staff, and get the bats going. Coaches focused on fundamentals, and while the scoreboard wasn't the priority, the energy in the dugout made it clear that the team is eager for the real games to begin.
Golden brought solid competition, keeping the scrimmage moving at a good pace and providing Boulder with exactly the kind of challenge they needed to start ramping up for the regular season.
The Panthers open the season on March 12 against Ralston Valley away.
