Girls Soccer Tops Prairie View 2–0 in Road Win

HENDERSON, CO — The Boulder High girls soccer team picked up another strong win on Tuesday night, defeating a well-organized Prairie View side 2–0 on the road. With the victory, the Panthers improve to 9-1-2 on the season and continue to build momentum as the regular season winds down.

This matchup was one of the most technical and evenly matched Boulder has seen all year. Prairie View played a similar style to the Panthers—comfortable building from the back, sharp in combination play, and confident on the ball. Both teams looked to control possession and play through pressure.

Boulder started the game with energy but also showed some nerves in the opening 30 minutes. The Panthers struggled at times to connect cleanly, misfiring on passes and touches as Prairie View disrupted passing lanes and applied pressure high up the field. Despite the jitters, Boulder's defensive effort held strong, and the Thunderhawks didn't register a single shot on goal in the first half.

At the break, the score remained 0–0, with both teams doing well to cancel out each other's attacks.

In the second half, Boulder settled down and began to dominate the ball, playing composed possession soccer and spreading the field with purpose. Still, it took two key saves from senior goalkeeper Maisie Creamer to preserve the clean sheet. One came on a dangerous cross that required a full-stretch diving punch, and the other was a two-handed grab on a free kick aimed at the far post.

The Panthers finally broke through when Ane Mackey won the ball around midfield and drove forward with pace. She threaded a perfect through ball to Zoe Silver, who took it in stride and calmly finished far post from the right wing to make it 1–0.

Later in the half, Kiri Fogarty-Sears sealed the game with a rocket from the top of the box after a tight combination play at the top of the final third. With space and time, she made no mistake—blasting a shot past the Prairie View keeper for the 2–0 final.

Boulder continued to create chances throughout the second half and will look to be more clinical moving forward. The defensive unit deserves credit for holding a dangerous opponent without a goal, and Creamer's two standout saves kept the clean sheet intact.

Final Score:

Boulder 2 – Prairie View 0

Record:

Boulder improves to 9-1-2 on the season.
