Panthers Capture Rocky Mountain Conference Title with Senior Night Victory

Player of the Game - Senior Cole Morrow

On a night filled with celebration and emotion, the Boulder High School Panthers capped off their Senior Night in triumphant fashion, securing a 67-54 victory over the Westminster Wolves in front of an electric home crowd led by their passionate student section, "Team Rowdy." With the win, the Panthers clinched the Rocky Mountain Conference championship, marking a significant milestone for the program.

Panthers Control the Game from Start to Finish

Boulder set the tone early, jumping out to a 13-6 lead in the first quarter and never relinquishing control. The team extended their advantage in the second quarter, heading into halftime with a comfortable 29-17 lead. A strong third-quarter performance, where they outscored Westminster 22-17, effectively put the game out of reach.

Senior Cole Morrow delivered an outstanding performance, finishing as the game's leading scorer with 32 points. His ability to attack the basket and knock down shots from all over the court made him the undeniable Player of the Game.

Senior Night Starters Shine

In tribute to the night, Boulder started all their seniors, and they did not disappoint. Manny Flores contributed 12 points on an efficient 50% shooting, while Ezra Drace was a perfect 3-for-3 from the field, adding six points. Lake Smith had a strong all-around performance with seven points, six rebounds, five assists, and one steal. The Panthers' balanced attack and defensive intensity kept Westminster from mounting a serious comeback.

Team Effort Secures Conference Crown

Boulder's offensive efficiency played a crucial role in the win, as they shot 48% from the field compared to Westminster's 44%. Their ability to convert opportunities and control the tempo allowed them to maintain their lead throughout the game.

Westminster struggled to find consistent scoring, but Elyas Romero led the team with 18 points. Davidson contributed for the Wolves with 17 points but it wasnt't enough. Despite a late push in the fourth quarter, where Westminster put up 20 points, the deficit proved too large to overcome.

Looking Ahead

Next up for the Panthers, they take on Prairie View on February 20 at 7:00 PM at Prairie View. Their final regular season game is at 10:00 AM at home against Legacy. With momentum on their side, Boulder looks to finish the season strong and prepare for postseason play.
