The Boulder High boys lacrosse team put up a strong effort against Erie on March 6 but came up just short, falling 11-9. The Panthers stayed competitive throughout the game and showed plenty of positives to build on for the rest of the season.
Game Recap:
• First Quarter: Erie took an early 2-1 lead.
• Second Quarter: Boulder kept pace, but Erie edged ahead 6-4 at halftime.
• Third Quarter: The Panthers fought back, outscoring Erie 2-1 to make it 7-6 heading into the final quarter.
• Fourth Quarter: Erie held on with a 4-3 advantage to secure the 11-9 win.
Boulder's Top Performers:
• Grady Allison (Jr): 3 goals, 1 assist
• Luke Nathan (Sr): 2 goals, 1 assist
• Trevor  Russack  (Jr): 2 goals, 1 assist
• Finn Mullen (Jr): 1 goal, 1 assist
• Arthur Hoverstock (Jr): 1 goal
The Panthers took 16 shots and made 9 of them, showing good efficiency. However, Erie controlled the faceoffs, winning 18 out of 19.
Despite the loss, this game showed that Boulder can compete. The effort, teamwork, and scoring balance give them something to build on for the season ahead.
