Boulder High boys' lacrosse kept the momentum going with a 9-3 win over Mountain Range on Wednesday night. The victory marked Boulder's first win over the Mustangs since 2010, as the Panthers controlled the game from start to finish.

How It Happened

Boulder got off to a fast start, scoring twice in the first quarter. Artie Hoverstock opened the scoring at the five-minute mark, and Ryan Scarbrough added another goal four minutes later after a pass from goalie Toby Benham. The Panthers led 2-0 after one.

Mountain Range fought back in the second quarter, scoring twice to tie the game at 2-2. But just before halftime, Hoverstock struck again, giving Boulder a 3-2 lead heading into the break.

Boulder took control in the third quarter. Luke Nathan scored three minutes in, and after Mountain Range responded to make it 4-3, Nathan struck again at the nine-minute mark to stretch the lead. Q Hoverstock followed with a goal, assisted by Finn Mullen, before Trevor Russack  added another just before the end of the quarter. Boulder entered the fourth up 7-3.

The Panthers closed out the game with two more goals in the final period. Nathan completed his hat trick early in the quarter, and Mullen scored with two minutes left to seal the 9-3 win.
