The Boulder High School girls' varsity basketball team extended their winning streak to four games with a 62-30 victory over Northglenn on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. The win improves the Panthers' overall record to 11-7 and their league record to 7-1, with their only conference loss coming against Riverdale Ridge.
Strong Team Performance
The Panthers were out in front from wire to wire against the Norsemen. Their size and strength on the glass didn't give the visitors any breathing room and Boulder never was behind in the contest. Boulder has been solid during their recent stretch, with contributions across the roster. The team is averaging 44.6 points per game, along with 33.8 rebounds, 8.4 assists, and 11.6 steals per game.
Sophomore Lexi Oder leads the team in scoring, averaging 13.5 points per game, along with 6.6 rebounds and 2.8 steals. Senior Megan Matthews is right behind her with 13.2 points per game, while also contributing 4.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists. Sophomore Remi Kingdom has added 8.4 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.
Defensively, Boulder has been aggressive, averaging 11.6 steals per game, led by Oder and Matthews, who contribute 2.8 and 2.1 steals per game, respectively. Their defensive pressure has played a key role in their recent success.
Looking Ahead
With a top spot in the league standings, the Panthers will look to extend their winning streak in a rematch on February 6 at Mountain Range, with tip-off at 7:00 PM.
