The Boulder Boys Tennis team extended their undefeated streak yesterday with a 4-3 victory over Niwot at Niwot High School, bringing their match play record to 6-0. In a tightly contested match, Boulder relied on key performances to get past a strong Niwot team. Patrick Harvey was named player of the match for his standout effort.
Match Highlights:
Boulder's day started strong at 1 Singles, where senior Andre Parham delivered a solid 6-2, 6-1 win over Niwot's Sebastian Moy. Parham's precision and consistency helped put Boulder on the board early.
At 2 Singles, Blake Curl fought hard but couldn't overcome Niwot's Charles Kirtland, losing 6-1, 6-4. With the score tied, Niwot gained momentum at 3 Singles, where Bruno Damrauer was outlasted in a three-set battle by Oskar Hansen, 4-6, 6-1, 6-3.
Boulder found success in doubles play, starting with Patrick Harvey and Riley Kenny at 1 Doubles. After dropping the first set 5-7, they rallied to win the next two sets 6-4, 6-4. Harvey's composure in pressure moments was critical to securing the victory.
At 2 Doubles, Copper Fagean and Ian Everson faced a three-set challenge, but pulled out a 6-4, 2-6, 6-3 win. Niwot managed to grab another point at 3 Doubles, where Dillan Horan and Calvin Harvey came up just short in a close match, 6-7 (4-7), 6-3, 7-5.
The final victory for Boulder came at 4 Doubles, where Romain Dell'Era and Amitai Sebba won 6-4, 6-3, sealing the overall match win.
