The Boulder Boys Tennis Team has earned the #14 seed in the 5A Boys Tennis State Tournament and will face the #3 seed, Valor Christian High School, on Wednesday, October 2nd, at 4:00 PM at Valor High. The Panthers finished the regular season with an 8-1 record, while Valor Christian posted an impressive 11-1 season, with their only loss coming against #2 seed Cherry Creek.
Looking ahead to the matchups, Boulder's senior leader Andre Parham, boasting a stellar 16-2 record, will face Valor's Jace Nakamura (8-1) in a key No. 1 singles contest. At No. 2 singles, senior Blake Curl (15-3) will go up against Britt Preston (2-0), and at No. 3 singles, Bruno Damrauer (8-2) will take on Preston, who has a 7-5 record in that spot.
In the doubles lineup, Boulder's Patrick Harvey and Riley Kenny (9-3) will challenge Valor's undefeated pair of Ryan Greenfield and Ryan Mandes (12-0) at No. 1 doubles. The No. 2 doubles match will feature Boulder's Ian Everson and Copper Fagean (6-7) versus Valor's Jack Mohler and Asa Thurstone (8-4). No. 3&4 doubles are TBD.
