Boulder Boys Tennis Secures Key Wins at Granite Peaks League Tournament
Boulder Boys Tennis showcased its strength at the Granite Peaks League tournament on a hot afternoon at Niwot High School. Senior Andre Parham, Boulder's No. 1 singles player, delivered another decisive performance, defeating Monarch's Troy Gomez 6-1 in the first set before Gomez was forced to retire due to injury early in the second. Parham, now with a 14-2 record, continues to be a pivotal player for Boulder as they set their sights on a deep run in the postseason.
#1 Singles Champion Andre Parham
At No. 2 singles, senior Blake Curl battled through a grueling three-set match against Niwot's Charlie Kirtland. After dropping the first set 7-6, Curl dominated the second set 6-1 and edged out Kirtland in a tense 7-6 third set to secure the victory. Curl's endurance and ability to recover in high-pressure moments were crucial in the win.
#2 Singles Champion Blake Curl
In doubles, Boulder's No. 2 team of Cooper Fagan and Ian Everson faced a strong Fairview duo but were outmatched, falling 6-1, 6-1. Despite the result, Boulder's depth in both singles and doubles play continues to drive the team forward as they prepare for regionals.
