The Boulder Varsity Panthers put on a clinic Saturday, easily defeating the Poudre Impalas 15-3. The Panthers quickly overcame being down a run in the bottom of the first inning, scoring six runs on four hits to take a 6-1 lead. A key moment came when Ria Ushakova hit a triple, driving in two runs.

The Panthers continued to build on their lead in the second inning, with a passed ball making it 7-3. They didn't let up in the third inning either, where they added more runs stealing home and bringing in two, then a double from Channing Wheeler driving in one, and a single by Sophie Jones adding another run.

Lillian Vaughn earned the win for Boulder, delivering a solid performance as the starting pitcher. She allowed just three runs (two earned) on six hits over four innings, with one strikeout and no walks.

At the plate, Sophie Jones was a standout, going 2-for-4 and leading the team with three RBIs. Channing Wheeler was perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3 and driving in one run. The Panthers were also aggressive on the base paths, with Avery Stuhlbarg and Sophia Pereira each stealing multiple bases, contributing to the team's total of seven stolen bases.

Boulder showed great patience and discipline throughout the game, drawing seven walks in total. Vaughn led the team with two walks, while the defense was solid, turning a double play to stifle the Impalas' efforts.
