The Boulder High Softball team faced a tough home game against Standley Lake yesterday, resulting in an 11-3 loss. Despite the defeat, the Panthers played hard and kept their spirits high throughout the game.
Senior Ellie Jones led Boulder with a strong performance, going 3-for-4 at the plate with a .750 batting average, scoring one run, and driving in one RBI. Senior Sophia Pereira also contributed hitting .333 with one hit, two runs, and one home run.
Senior Channing Wheeler and senior Annali Langenegger each recorded one hit in their four at-bats, helping the team offensively. The Panthers had a total batting average of .222, with six hits and three runs.
Though Boulder was unable to secure a win, the team fought hard until the end. They will look to regroup and prepare for their next game against Poudre.
