Boulder High School's inaugural varsity field hockey season ended on a high note with an 8-8-2 record, a great accomplishment for a new program. Despite a close 2-1 loss to Pine Creek in the state playoffs, the young Panthers team proved they are competitive and have a bright future.
The season started with a 1-1 tie against St. Mary's Academy, a top state team. Boulder's first-ever varsity goal came from Marley Farrior, and the Panthers established a tough defense. The Panthers made a statement in this debut game, showing they could hang with the best.

Their first win came in a thrilling 1-0 overtime game against Pine Creek, setting the tone for other close matchups. Highlights included a last-second 2-1 win over Poudre with a game-winner from Tenley Layne, a convincing 5-1 win over Grandview, and a 2-0 Halloween night victory over Dakota Ridge. Boulder proved they could handle pressure, often pushing games into overtime or securing late wins.

The Panthers closed out the regular season strong, with a big Senior Morning win against Cheyenne Mountain, avenging an earlier loss with a decisive 3-1 score. Under Coach Allyson Mullen and Courtney Van der Linden's leadership, Boulder's young players showed growth and dedication.

With a solid first season and a young, talented roster, Boulder High Field Hockey is well-positioned for a promising future. They've set the groundwork and gained valuable playoff experience, leaving fans excited for what's ahead. The Panthers have shown they belong and are ready to make an even bigger impact next year.
