The Boulder High Panthers field hockey team picked up a solid 3–1 win over the Grandview Wolves on Thursday night, leaning on steady ball movement, strong defending, and breakout performances from senior Tenley Layne and freshman forward Tracey Ramirez. The victory brings Boulder's record to 3–2.

First Half: Even Start, Boulder Responds
After a few tense opening minutes, Boulder settled in and started to control the midfield. The Panthers broke through late in the first quarter when Louisa Keegan scored off a cross from Tenley Layne.

Grandview answered early in the second quarter with a goal from a free hit, tying it 1–1. But Boulder bounced back quickly. The Panthers kept pushing into the circle, and with two minutes left in the half Layne drove down the side again and set up Ramirez, who slotted home her first career varsity goal to make it 2–1 at halftime.
Second Half: Panthers Take Over
Boulder held firm in the third quarter, controlling possession and creating a couple of chances off corners, though the score stayed the same.
In the fourth, the Panthers pressed high and rarely let Grandview out of its own half. With 4:43 left, Layne forced a rebound off the Wolves' keeper and Ramirez was there again, knocking in her second of the game to seal the win.
