Boulder Panthers Boys Swim Team Beats Longmont

The Boulder High School boys swim team earned a strong win over Longmont on March 6, 2025. Boulder finished the meet with 165 points, while Longmont scored 64.

Boulder started the meet with a win in the 200-yard medley relay. Lucas Russack, Gray Lewis, Grant McCuen, and Jonah Ellis-Rissler finished first with a time of 1:49.68.

In the 200-yard freestyle, Boulder swept the top three spots. Max Verplank finished first (2:13.43), Wyatt Henson was second (2:14.81), and Owen Gallagher placed third (2:16.67).

Lucas Russack won the 200-yard individual medley in 2:15.07. Tristan Maiorino placed third (2:27.88), and Grant McCuen finished fourth (2:32.56).

Gray Lewis led the way in the 50-yard freestyle, winning with a time of 22.77. Wheatley Lewis finished third (26.55), and Connel Casson placed fifth (37.85).

In the 100-yard butterfly, Lucas Russack placed second (1:04.87) and Jonah Ellis-Rissler was third (1:11.32).

Boulder also took the top two spots in the 100-yard freestyle. Wyatt Henson finished first (57.72), and Ian Poyton took second (1:01.27).

In the 500-yard freestyle, Tristan Maiorino won with a time of 5:19.88, and Max Verplank finished second (6:40.22).

Boulder dominated the 200-yard freestyle relay, winning with a time of 1:42.08. The team included Gray Lewis, Wyatt Henson, Ian Poyton, and Tristan Maiorino. Boulder's "B" relay team took second with swimmers Connel Casson, Wheatley Lewis, Owen Gallagher, and Max Verplank (1:57.51).

In the 100-yard backstroke, Grant McCuen finished first (1:09.68), and Jonah Ellis-Rissler was just behind in second (1:09.89).

Gray Lewis won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:13.59), Owen Gallagher took third (1:14.88), and Connel Casson finished fifth (1:33.19).

Boulder closed out the meet with another win in the 400-yard freestyle relay. The team of Grant McCuen, Ian Poyton, Tristan Maiorino, and Lucas Russack finished first with a time of 3:53.43. Boulder's second relay team of Max Verplank, Owen Gallagher, Wyatt Henson, and Jonah Ellis-Rissler placed second (4:36.29).
