The Boulder High Boys Soccer team had an incredible performance last night, beating Legacy High School 9-0 in a game that will be remembered as one of their biggest wins ever. The Panthers showed off their strong offense and solid defense, shutting out Legacy in their home opener.
Junior Mikel Mackey was named the Player of the Game for his standout performance, scoring 2 goals and assisting on 2 more, leading the team with 6 points. His playmaking was a big reason for Boulder's strong showing.
Several other players stepped up to score for Boulder, making it a true team effort. Senior Grant Sims had a day, scoring 2 goals and adding an assist, earning 5 points for the game. Fellow senior David Bojorquez also made a great impact with a goal and an assist, bringing his total to 3 points.
Logan Coughlin, another senior, netted 2 goals, adding 4 points to the team's score. Senior Xander Sevian played a key role in the attack as well, scoring 1 goal and setting up 2 others for a total of 4 points.
Senior Abe Adamson also added one to the scoreboard. Juniors John Crowns and Will Webber, along with senior Connor Sims, each contributed an assist, showcasing the team's depth and teamwork.
Boulder's defense was just as strong as their offense, keeping Legacy from getting any good chances. With a solid backline and smart play, led by junior Zac Sheinbaum, Devon Lyons, and Santiago Martinez Garcia, they protected their goalkeeper, Aden Heath, and helped him earn a clean sheet.
This dominant win is a significant statement by the Boulder High Boys Soccer team as they continue their season with confidence and high expectations. The Panthers will aim to build on this momentum in their upcoming matches, hoping to keep their winning streak alive.
