Last Wednesday, the Boulder High School wrestling team faced Loveland and Skyline in back-to-back dual meets. Despite the challenges posed by forfeits, Boulder's wrestlers showcased resilience and determination, with several grapplers delivering impressive performances.

Match Highlights

Against Loveland, standout victories included:

• Ollie Reynolds (106 lbs): Secured a hard-fought 8-7 UTB win over Tyson Bradley.

• Liam Hembury (113 lbs): Dominated Judd Griffith with a fall in 2:33.

• Isaac Wing (150 lbs): Clinched a high-scoring 13-7 decision over Mason Wenger.
 

• Alex Smith (165 lbs): Triumphed with a decisive 13-8 decision over Wes Bockelmann.

• Luca Molina (215 lbs): Pinned Drake Frohling in 3:03.

Additionally, Boulder's Clay Gilreath excelled in extra matches, earning a fall in 3:17 and a major decision (14-5) over Loveland competitors.

Against Skyline, Boulder's highlights included:

• Beau Pryon (144 lbs): Pinned Drew DeGuzman in 4:56.

• Johanan Ramirez (157 lbs): Gritted out a 6-3 decision over Lucas Anson.

• Alex Smith (165 lbs): Earned his second win of the night with a fall in 0:52.
 

Despite the final team scores, Boulder's wrestlers showed heart and potential, setting the stage for continued growth and success as the season progresses.  The Panthers will be competing at the NCCT this weekend in Greeley.
